Do Programs Still Get Ratings If You Record Them/

20 thousand cuts. A mass beating. Why

While private schools for the prime minister calls for school vouchers, the state is hit by a real hurricane cuts. In three years of the Berlusconi government, teachers, pupils, head teachers, janitors, administrative assistants, laboratory technicians, and parents had to alternate fare i conti con "risparmi" su tutti i capitoli: posti in organico, fondi e addirittura ore di lezione.

The last tranche of cuts expected in less than 14 000 places, in addition to the 30 000 already cut last year and this year.

to pay the "maneuver" is the weakest: the alternates. In just two years, from 2007/2008 to 2009/2010 alternates with almost 25 000 jobs had to say goodbye to annual salary and position.

In 1997, the Italian school entered the era of autonomy. It was thus allocated a special budget that is annually distributed among the 10 000 schools across the country. Although these transfers have been affected: in 2008 the funds for the so-called law 440/97 touched the 186 million. Two years later Thin to 127 million: less than 32 percent.

These are the data of the Italian school''reform''. A drama that began long ago, but now is reaching unprecedented levels of social massacre in Europe, a continent where investments (not cut) on all areas - key to everyday life and future development.
